Peter D`Adamo, a physician published a book in 1996. (1) In his book he explained how people could feel better, live healthier and longer lives, and how to achieve the ideal weight by following a diet that belongs to their blood type.

He actually found that certain spices, condiment and even physical activity should depend on your blood type to help you feel your best and to help your body to function optimally.

Here are some recommendations to eat the correct food according to your blood type.

Firstly we are looking at Blood Type O - The meat eaters.

In summary the blood group O are meat-eaters and have a hardy digestive tract. They have an overactive immune system and respond best to stress with intense physical activity and preferably outdoors. Swimming, jogging, weight training, stair climbing, cycling and brisk walking are some examples.

O`s thrive on regular exercise and lean organic meats, poultry, and fish. They don`t find dairy products and grains quite as user friendly. In general O`s deal the best with high-fat diet, higher protein, and a few carbohydrates. The above in combination with 70-80% of vegetables (no starchy vegetables) will optimise the health of blood type O.

To give you an idea which type of diet will support you is a diet which reflects the wholefood principles of the Mediterranean diet but not limited.
